Gymnázium Hladnov a JŠ je státní střední škola v Ostravě. V současné době nabízí tři studijní obory: všeobecné studium (čtyřleté), studium s rozšířenou výukou angličtiny (čtyřleté) a bilingvní česko-španělské studium (šestileté), jediné v moravskoslezském kraji. Tento typ studia je charakterizován intenzivní výukou španělštiny v prvních dvou letech, od 3. ročníku jsou ve španělštině vyučovány také matematika, fyzika, chemie, dějepis a zeměpis. Součástí školy je státní jazyková škola s právem SJZ, která nabízí jazykové kurzy a přípravné kurzy k jazykovým zkouškám a státním zkouškám. Gymnázium je a bylo zapojeno do řady evropských projektů, např. Comenius, eTwinning, European Schoolnet, Eurogymnázia, NatTech. V letech 2011 a 2015 získalo gymnázium Hladnov Evropskou jazykovou cenu Label. Pro žáky je připravena široká nabídka mimoškolních aktivit a působí zde dva cizojazyčné divadelní soubory (anglický Drama Club a španělské divadlo). Škola má k dispozici celkem 29 učeben, z toho jsou 2 multimediální, 1 pro výuku IVT, 4 jazykové, 1 multimediální jazyková učebna Robotel, nová laboratoř pro chemii a fyziku, laboratoř biologie, přírodovědná posluchárna, tělocvična a posilovna. Dále je k dispozici nový venkovní sportovní areál s 3 multifunkčními hřišti, běžeckou dráhou, kurtem pro odbíjenou i plážový volejbal a venkovní učebna s naučnou stezkou dendrologického zaměření. Hladnov secondary school, Slezská Ostrava, is situated in the city of Ostrava in the northeastern part of the Czech Republic. It is a state school with a long history which dates back to the year 1911. The school provides a four-year study programme which is focused on English, students have a higher number of English language lessons, including lessons with a native speaker. Students can choose the general four-year study programme as well and since we are the only bilingual secondary school in the Moravian-Silesian region, students can attend a six-year programme in the Spanish language.

Each member receives a Personal Programme card that suits their individual needs and goals and is reviewed and updated every 3 weeks!

Gymtastics is a club that offers fun, fitness and fundamentals for children aged 18 months to adults with emphasis on developing self-esteem. We run pre-school, recreational and competitive classes supervised by qualified and experienced coaches. For some very good reasons, Gymtastics is one of the fastest growing gymnastics clubs in western Canada.
