Established in India on 12 July 1990, the Institute Of Directors (IOD) is an apex national association of Corporate Directors under the India's 'Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860'​. IOD is India's Ist and oldest training Institute to introduce Corporate Governance training, since 1990 Currently it's associated with over 30,000 senior executives from Govt, PSU and Private organizations of India and abroad. IoD Nigeria is an affiliate of the IoD U.K which was founded in London in 1903 London in 1903 and granted a Royal charter by King Edward VII in 1906. Some Nigeria members of the IoD UK formed IoD Nigeria in Lagos on 17th May, 1983. IoD exists in many countries, mainly commonwealth countries, and offers members a network of over 85,000 members. Its members are drawn from directors and business leaders in the public and private sectors and from a diversity of enterprises in Commerce, Industry, Services, and Professional Bureaucracy etc. IoD represents directors in their individual capacity and empowers them to contribute significantly to the welfare of the companies they run and to national development. IoD works to establish and maintain contact amongst business leaders at the highest levels and interfaces with government for the creation and entrenchment of favourably business friendly policies in seemingly challenging circumstances for the creation of wealth. The Institute of Engineering Seismology & Earthquake Engineering (ITSAK) is a research center established in 1979. It has been operating free field strong motion instruments on a national scale. ITSAK is one of the few multidisciplinary European research centers. ITSAK scientific staff is divided into three departments with distinct research interests but closely cooperating.

The Institute of Executive Capabilities (IEC) is an institute of Steinbeis-Hochschule (or Steinbeis University), a state-approved university which includes over 8,000 students of all ages and professional backgrounds.
