Mental Health Foundation Australia (MHFA) is an organisation made up of people from all walks of life. It includes professionals, those living with mental illness, families of those living with mental illness, organisations concerned with mental health and members of the public with an interest in mental health. Mental Health Foundation Australia is the oldest Mental Health Association in Australia. Founded in 1930 as the Victorian Council for Mental Hygiene, then later the Victorian Association for Mental Health, MHFA has been part of the national and international mental health movement for over 70 years. MHFA works to deepen understanding of the importance of mental wellbeing. Educating the community about available treatment options for mental illness is a large part of our brief, but our primary emphasis is on promoting good mental health and the means to maintain it. The Foundations work has been fundamental to changing community attitudes and raising awareness of the importance of good mental health. The primary aims of Mental Health Foundation Australia are: - To promote mental health and attitudes to mental health; - To establish collaboration with governments, individuals, and health related agencies, groups and organisations; - To make recommendations regarding mental health policy, implementation and services; - Encourage and initiate mental health research; - Encourage the highest standards in training and practice for the mental health professions; - To establish and support organisations which provide service, support and advice to the community; - To stimulate the development of informed public debate and opinion on mental health issues; - To work to remove stigma within the wider community associated with mental ill health. - To build bridges between those with mental illness and those without, to link our community together.

Mental Health Innovations is a charity providing early intervention, preventative care and crisis support through digital services. It was founded in 2017 with the support of the Royal Foundation of The Prince and Princess of Wales. Through our unique data insight and research, clinical expertise, innovation and partnerships, we work on focus areas where our expertise enables us to have a positive outcome on the mental health of the UK population. We power Shout, the UK's only free, 24/7 text message support service and The Mix, which provides free, anonymous online support with the important issues in young people’s lives. We place young people at the heart of the solution as service co-creators and volunteers, giving them the mental health skills to use in the wider community and to find and retain employment.

Mental Health Ireland promotes mental health and wellbeing to all individuals and communities in Ireland. Through our network of Mental Health Associations, we support people who experience mental health difficulties on their journey of recovery. MHI’s vision is for an Ireland where mental health is valued as being an essential part of personal wellbeing and the health of the nation. Mental Health Magic aims to teach as many people as possible how to protect, manage and improve their mental health and well-being. We believe you shouldn’t have to become unwell, or ‘unwell enough’ to access these skills. We believe this is as important as statutory education, if not more. We want to help people ensure their study and work environments boost their well-being and support their mental health. Discrimination and a lack of understanding are unproductive and unnecessary. We want to empower people with the knowledge and skills to create Mental Health Magic at home, for themselves and their loved ones. We come from a place of lived experience, as well as professional. We’ve helped many people along their road of recovery, and are still making our way along ours. We’d love to have you with us.

Mental Health Reform is the leading national coalition on mental health in Ireland, formed in 2006. We have over 70 member organisations, representing a broad range of interests, like housing, disability, children’s rights, human rights, ethnic minorities and many others. Mental Health Reform provide a unified voice campaigning to drive progressive reform of mental health services and supports in Ireland. Our vision: An Ireland where people can access the support they need in their community to achieve their best possible mental health. What we do: Identifying gaps – We identify unmet mental health needs particularly among people who can fall through the net, like people with intellectual disabilities, those who are homeless or people from ethnic minorities. Developing best practice – We draw on best practice to advise Government and champion innovation in the supports provided to people. Building consensus – We work closely with our members and directly with people and their families using mental health services, bringing their voices and their needs to the attention of Government, the HSE and other key state bodies. Taking action – We work to raise concerns about mental health and the social inclusion of people with mental health difficulties, encouraging people to support and take action on our campaigns. Monitoring and reviewing – We monitor the actions of Government, the HSE and other agencies to ensure that they are measuring up on the commitments and promises they have made.
