Mid-Atlantic ProTel is a veteran-owned and operated business. Established in 1996 in Martinsburg, West Virginia, Mid-Atlantic ProTel has expanded to cover Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. Mid-Atlantic ProTel was established in 1996 by Carroll Butler in the Martinsburg mall. The newly established business started as a one-man operation primarily focusing on selling paging and mobile services. In October 2003, Carroll Butler retired from ProTel, leaving the companies operation to his son Bryan. As an authorized AT&T retailer, ProTel has expanded across the four-state. The company currently averages more than a two hundred employees across the four state serviceable areas and a tenured staff averaging 20 years with the company. ProTel is now poised to dominate the Pittsburgh and Washington/Baltimore areas with 28 stores. Mid-Columbia Children’s Council (MCCC) is a local non-profit organization that ensures that all children, regardless of their circumstances, have access to a high-quality, early childhood education in Oregon and Washington. For more than 50 years MCCC has provided early education programs, family resources and community support to income-eligible families located in the Columbia River Gorge. MCCC’s no-cost programs change the lives of nearly 700 families each year and are designed to stimulate growth mentally, socially, emotionally and physically—ultimately preparing children for success in school and throughout life.
Mid-Continent Railway Historical Society–also known as Mid-Continent Railway Museum–is an outdoor, living museum and operating railroad recreating the small town/short line way of life during the “Golden Age of Railroading,” with operating trains, educational exhibits, and displays of restored rolling stock. Mid-Continent has operated at North Freedom, Wisconsin since 1963.
