(Nissan) and longtime partners Universal Motors Corporation (UMC) and Yulon Philippines Investment Co. Ltd. (Yulon). Nissan holds a 51% stake in the company while UMC and Yulon each owns 24.5% of the outstanding and issued shares. On March 2014, NPI began operations as the sole national sales company for the Philippines unifying the Nissan brand one umbrella.

The company started operations in December 2008 and has begun importing and distributing Nissan vehicles, parts and accessories through its dealers. Founded in 1962, Kjaer Group A/S is an international distributor of vehicles focused on emerging markets. The company is a Nissan distributor in several countries. HANOI (June 30th, 2009) – Nissan Vietnam Co. Ltd. (NVL) announced today that it will start local production and launch its first model assembled in Vietnam by 2010. The Nissan model will be assembled by Vietnam Motors Corporation, an existing automotive assembler, and will be distributed by NVL.
