Rumsey Hall School is an independent, coed junior boarding (5 - 9) and day (Pre K - 9) school in Washington, Connecticut. Rumsey Hall enrolls 309 students, and the campus consists of 32 buildings located on 231 acres along the scenic Bantam River in the Litchfield Hills region. Rumsey Hall School is committed to a whole-child approach to education and believes that teaching academics and teaching an attitude of mind are of equal importance. The School emphasizes effort as a criterion for success and is dedicated to helping each child develop toward his or her maximum stature as an educated person, a successful member of a family, and a contributing member of a community. Rumundu nasce nel 2013 ad opera di Stefano Cucca, un progetto che ha visto la Sardegna come punto di partenza e la Sardegna come punto di arrivo. In mezzo, 32 mila chilometri di strade asfaltate, sterrate e sentieri che Stefano ha percorso per realizzare uno dei suoi sogni: compiere il giro del mondo in bicicletta alla ricerca di storie e stili di vita sostenibili. Un viaggio fuori rotta, in solitaria e dai ritmi lenti, con lo scopo di capire se un altro mondo, lontano dal modello economico consumistico, fosse possibile. Trecentosessantacinque giorni in movimento fra Europa, America, Asia, Oceania e Africa, percorsi per entrare in contatto con storie e modelli di vita sostenibili; trecento tappe per documentare come linnovazione sociale e limprenditoria consapevole possano trasformare la società. Rumundu costituisce il punto di partenza per stimolare le coscienze al rispetto del pianeta in cui viviamo; linizio di una riflessione, uno stimolo, per riscoprire, valorizzare e diffondere modelli di sviluppo sostenibili. Rumundu è oggi un ecosistema, un network di persone che si uniscono per portare avanti un progetto di futuro sostenibile. Per dare il proprio contributo alla costruzione di un mondo migliore. Agiamo da catalizzatori strategici allinterno delle reti e delle organizzazioni. A partire dalle attività rivolte ai più piccoli (Rumundu Children) con progetti che legano il Coding alla sostenibilità ambientale e non solo, passando per i più giovani (Rumundu young) con lobiettivo di formare leader socialmente responsabili, passando per i programmi di incubazione per progetti green (Rumundu Startup), fino ad arrivare ad attività di Change Management (Rumundu Company) per imprese pubbliche e private. Rumundu ha sede in Italia (Sardegna) e Sudafrica (Città del Capo) e ci impegniamo a costruire una rete mondiale di organizzazioni a valore condiviso che condividano la nostra mission.
