The Chronic Disease Research Group, a division of the Minneapolis Medical Research Foundation, operates the Scientific Registry of Transplant Recipients (SRTR) under contract from the Division of Transplantation, Healthcare Systems Bureau, Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). SRTR supports the transplant community with analyses, in an effort to better patient results and experience. Through the evaluation of national data collected by the Organ Procurement and Transplant Network (OPTN) on transplant programs and organ procurement organizations, our program-specific reports provide wide-ranging information about transplant programs and their results. Data driven, improving patient outcomes is our number one goal.

Over 22,000 scientists from 184 nations have now signed the World Scientists Warning to Humanity - A Second Notice published in 2017. This warning states that severe, existential threats to human well-being are posed by our own behaviour. The warning advocates strong steps must be taken to reverse negative trends and advocates for a groundswell of public and corporate pressure to force political leaders to face reality and act to avoid an ecological catastrophe for all of humanity and life on Earth. On 5 November 2019 the World Scientists’ Warning of a Climate Emergency was issued and is now endorsed by 13,000 scientists from around the world, who state clearly and unequivocally that planet Earth is facing a climate emergency.
