Since 1998, SPI has partnered with over 380 organizations in 94 countries, We powered over 1.9 million gardens to produce over 600 million vegetable servings. Our target demographic is women, children, refugees, internally displaced persons, people struggling with food insecurity. Our Impact plan is to catalyze sustainable agriculture of farming households. Improve access to seed and diversify food production. Leverage nutrition and income provided by vegetables. Improve food security, nutrition, and household income of program participants. Grow our partners' organizational capacity so they can lead sustainable change and foster resilient livelihoods without the need for on-going support and aid.

Seed Savers Exchange is a nonprofit organization leading in preserving and distributing heirloom vegetables, herbs, flowers and plants. Seed Savers Exchange is a member supported organization of gardeners and plant collectors who save and share heirloom seeds, thereby preserving our garden heritage. At the 890-acre Heritage Farm near Decorah, Iowa, we maintain one of the largest collections of open-pollinated heirloom varieties in the United States.
