The Pasadena & Foothill Chapter of the American Institute of Architects is a substantial professional organization that serves the local architect, promotes architecture and the built environment within the Chapter’s boundaries, provides resources to the community for professional development and education, and serves as a vital link to local allied professionals as well as other Chapter components of the AIA. Organizationally, the Chapter is a local membership organization incorporated as a 501(c)6 non-profit corporation and guided by the laws of the State of California.

AIA Pennsylvania is the statewide component of The American Institute of Architects. Although independently incorporated, AIA Pennsylvania is officially linked to the National AIA and to the eight local AIA chapters in Pennsylvania. We serve a statewide membership of over 3,000 AIA members. We represent the interests of architects in state government affairs. We advocate public policies that emphasize good community design and responsible stewardship of the built and natural environments. We provide a variety of essential services to members. We are governed by a statewide Board of Directors representing all eight local AIA chapters. Our work is conducted by a full-time professional staff in our Harrisburg headquarters and by a network of volunteer committees.

Our objective is to: improve, for society, the quality of the built environment by further raising the standards of architectural education, training, and practice; fostering design excellence; and promoting the value of architectural services to the public.

AIA Proiect is dedicated to designing buildings that create good function and inspiring beauty while demonstrating fiscal accountability and good earth stewardship. Our goal is to provide the highest level of professional service to institutional, commercial and residential clients that desire beautiful and durable buildings which can be built within the constraints of their construction budgets. Human needs design is the principle basis of our design philosophy. The driving force behind the creation of AIA Proiect was the desire to take on a limited number of jobs at any one time and provide continuity of leadership for each project. This continuity of leadership from project beginning to project completion ensures that our commitment to design excellence and technical integrity affects every detail.
