Alashanek Ya Balady is the first developmental organization in Egypt initiated and totally run by students; students who come from various universities to share the experience for the sake of achieving the set goals. We are Egyptian youth who wants to change for our country and community, because we believe that development will not only affect the Egyptian community but it also shapes our personalities and conceptions.

The Alaska Academy of Physician Assistants is made up primarily of physician assistants practicing in Alaska and is dedicated to providing Alaskans the highest quality of medical care. We are committed to enhancing the practice environment of physician assistants and providing continuing medical education both to our members and to the public. The AKAPA is a dynamically changing organization, and is a strong voice in Alaskan medicine. Recent accomplishments of the Academy include appointment of a physician assistant (PA) to the State Medical Board, changes updating and facilitating the State licensing and collaborative process, and changes to the prescriptive authority of physician assistants in Alaska. We maintain a close affiliation with PA students and offer annual scholarships. We are especially proud that our Academy was the AAPA Constituent Organization Award of Excellence winner for 2005. Mission To promote a healthy business environment in Alaska. Leadership A Board of Directors comprised of 80 members, some elected and some appointed, governs the Alaska Chamber. There are 20 elected representatives from each of the Alaska Senate Districts, 10 elected At-Large representatives from the general membership, 14 Board members appointed by the Chair, a representative from each of Alaska's more than 40 local chambers of commerce, and a representative from each of five Outside chambers of commerce. About the Alaska Chamber In 1953, a few years before Alaska was granted statehood, the "All Alaska"​ Chamber of Commerce was formed for the purpose of promoting commerce in Alaska. The construction boom, brought about by World War II, was winding down, and Alaska’s business leaders recognized the need for an organized effort to develop a new, stronger economic base for Alaska. The first leaders of the Alaska Chamber discussed tax incentive legislation, development of the state’s forest and mineral resources, promotion of the tourism industry, and increasing agricultural production. With statehood, the name was changed to the Alaska State Chamber of Commerce, and the organization represented the first unified effort to have the voice of business in the state legislature. Under new staff and the direction of the President and CEO, the Alaska State Chamber of Commerce has rebranded to be recognized as the Alaska Chamber.

Alaska Clean Seas (ACS) is a non-profit, incorporated oil spill response cooperative whose current membership includes oil and pipeline companies that engage in or intend to undertake oil and gas exploration, development, production and/or pipeline transport activities on the North Slope of Alaska.
