Working smarter together Albury Wodonga Connected Communities (AWCC) is an independent, philanthropic body overseeing charitable grants derived from three Bendigo Bank branches across Albury, Lavington, and Wodonga. It is a not for profit company, providing a platform for community groups and organisations to apply for funding across a number of different sectors, located in the Albury Wodonga and surrounding region. What does AWCC do? In partnership with the Bendigo Bank, AWCC distributes grants to a variety of members in our community to benefit the broader community as a whole. Grants categories include: Youth Arts and culture Community events Health and well-being Sport Community services Environment Disability How does it work? It’s as easy as 1,2,3… Choose Bendigo Bank Albury or Wodonga as your local bank Nominate AWCC as your community beneficiary (by tagging your accounts) AWCC receives a commission payment from the Bendigo Bank That commission goes directly to the AWCC Grants Fund. The more new and existing accounts that are tagged, the more funds are donated by Bendigo Bank. There are no additional fees associated with tagging your Bendigo Bank account. Commissions are paid as part of Bendigo Bank’s community engagement budget and are made at no cost to the customer. There is no change to the way customer accounts operate, and all the funds raised go towards the AWCC local Grants. Where do funds go? AWCC has its own board of directors, made up of local community representatives who make the decisions on how the money is allocated. AWCC holds a Grant applications per year, with Grants evaluated by the AWCC grants sub-committee against specific criteria. Approved Grants are awarded to local organisations. AWH is a unique service. Established on 1 July 2009 it is the first cross border public health service to exist in Australia, and operates under an agreement between New South Wales and Victorian governments to provide the largest regional health care services between Sydney and Melbourne. It supports an outer catchment population of 250,000 and covers the North-East of Victoria and Southern New South Wales. Albyn School is an independent school for children aged 2 to 18. We are located in the heart of Aberdeen's West End.
