ALSAD is a digital health platform which supports chronic condition management and prevention by providing online, personalised services for people with obesity, kidney failure and/or diabetes, connecting them to dietitians and doctors. The platform offers personalised dietary support, remote patient monitoring and patient education. ALSAD combines and adjusts medical “best practice” recommendations to the user’s actual condition and preferences, using the user’s own, continuously monitored health data and the user’s personal, unique data features related to nutrition, physical activities, age or comorbidities. ALSAD supports the medical community to overcome current shortcomings of patient education, which can be particularly critical in chronic conditions. The application can also be used for prevention, in case of healthy users, to formulate and maintain healthy habits. ALSAD is a combined value of the following features : A support subsystem tailored for the specific needs of patients with all stages of kidney failure, including end-stage renal disease (ESRD), Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) and specific support to manage obesity. Autogenerated, partially autogenerated or manually compilable menu plans for a range of diet requirements (diabetes/obesity, dialysis/diabetes, low fat diet, diabetes/active sport etc), based on content provided by health specialists and qualified dietitians.
