The American College of Osteopathic Surgeons assures excellence in osteopathic surgical care through education, advocacy, leadership development, and fostering professional and personal relationships. Representing over 5000 osteopathic surgeons, residents and students, the ACOS works to meet the needs of osteopathic surgeons and provide them with the tools to help them deliver high quality care to their patients.

American College which was founded on the motto of "Empowering Aspiring Minds" is a nationally recognized and accredited Registered Training Organization which is nationally accredited by the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA). American College recognises the changing pattern of student participation in tertiary education with increased student diversity and demand for flexible modes of delivery. One of the principles of learning and teaching outlined in the plan is recognising student diversity and the diverse learning needs of students. The learning and teaching plan outlines a number of initiatives to assist students in learning with the view to engage and retain students. The college uses a number of strategies to enhance student transition and retention. The learning and teaching principles articulated in the plan includes: •course relevance to the industry needs •alignment between curriculum content, learning outcomes, assessments, and teaching methods; •course taught by industry experts; •teaching and assessments enable student attainment of key generic skills; •promoting self-directed and lifelong learning; •recognising student diversity and the diverse learning needs; •evaluation of courses and teaching to enhance curriculum and teaching practices.

The American Collegiate Institute / Özel İzmir Amerikan Koleji is one of the Health and Education Foundation’s /Sağlık ve Eğitim Vakfı schools along with its sister schools - Üsküdar American High School, Tarsus American College, SEV American College, İzmir SEV Schools, Üsküdar SEV Schools and Tarsus SEV Schools. One of the main characteristics that makes American Collegiate Institute /Özel İzmir Amerikan Koleji different; is its progressive educational approach while protecting its long lasting traditions. The educational staff includes both Turkish and foreign teachers who are experts in their fields. ACI is located on a green campus of 31 decares in the Göztepe neighborhood of Izmir, Turkey. The Naomi Foster library and media center with its unique architecture; is equiped with over 70,000 books, electronic databases, computer labs and a video conference room. The Shepard Sports hall with its sports courts, exercise areas and fitness rooms; has been serving as a wide, modern and multifunctional gymnasium. In addition to these facilities; there is the Hill Science building that has many appropriately built laboratories, the Blake auditorium for 550 people, an IT and arts building know as the Taner Hall, an amphitheater for 1200 people, a girls dorm, open sports areas and the Beacon academic building with over 30 classrooms. ACI boys dorm is located right across the street from the main campus. ACI was the first and only school in Aegean region to be continuously accredited by the International Baculaureate Organization (IBO) since the school year of 2006-2007. IB Program and the IB Diploma has been accepted as the primary educational standard world wide. This program is a challenging pre university educational process for highly motivated high school students. The students with an IB diploma achieve the chance to be accepted to the best universities worldwide.

American Concrete was established in August, 1993, but our family has been producing concrete for the Augusta-Aiken area since 1926. Four generations of our family have maintained our guiding principals for over eighty years: “Deliver a quality product with unbeatable service, at a fair price, while maintaining a commitment to improving the community.” Because of these values, we have earned the reputation of being the “experts of concrete” in this region and have maintained our policy of giving back 10% of our income through donations to charitable organizations (primarily local organizations benefiting children) Even our name tells some of the story of who we are. At the inception of American Concrete we were bucking the trend of independent concrete producers being purchased by international cement manufacturers. We were also demonstrating our national pride with the same four generations of our family having contributed significant military service to our country and our belief that our support of our military is better achieved by carrying the flag rather than waving it.
