We are a Western Canadian distributor of tile, stone, and luxury vinyl tile (LVT). Ames Tile & Stone began in 1912 as Ames Bros. Distributors Ltd. on Alexander Street in downtown Vancouver. Founded by Cyril Ames and his brother David, Ames Bros. started as a small agency business. The partnership between the brothers lasted less than two weeks, but the company has lived on for 100 years and has evolved and emerged as a leader in the tile and stone industry. Although the name and products have changed, the principles are the same. Four generations of the Ames family have brought their commitment to excellence and customer service to the communities they serve. Over the years, Ames has expanded from a small downtown office on Alexander Street to showroom and warehouse space in Burnaby, Vancouver West Second, Calgary, Edmonton, and Winnipeg.

AMET is located on the beautiful shore of Bay of Bengal at Kanathur, just an hour’s drive from Chennai city. It utilizes a semester-based academic calendar and is a state of the art establishment totally dedicated to the dissemination of knowledge and training to cadets and students. AMET is established as a private maritime institute through Smt.Pattammal Educational and Charitable Trust with just 14 cadets in 1993. AMET has, through its uncompromising strides of excellence and ambitious zeal to serve the students and nation, transformed into the first university for maritime education in India under AMET Trust. (AMET) was granted the deemed to be University status by the UGC on 21st August 2007 under the “de-novo” category with maritime education as emerging field with great potential. Now the strength is touching upon a proud 3529 students enrolled in different intensively maritime and marine related UG and PG programmes.
