AORA, the satellite pay TV platform of PT Karyamegah Adijaya, commenced its nation-wide broadcast activity in the beginning of August 2008 with a 10 channel introductory service, highlighting the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Four of the channels were dedicated to bringing the Olympic games and events to its customers’ homes. AORA earned the pay TV rights to the 2008 Olympics exclusively for Indonesia. Before the end of 2010 AORA add and improve contents and start with a relaunch package :"asyik packet and cihuy packet". in early 2011 added two new packages to their subscription promotion is "Siip Package" and "Mantap Package". Furthermore AORA also present high-resolution TV channels (HDTV) from 1 November through "HD Package", which the customer can get by hiring special HD set-top box or subscribe to "Marvel HD Pack" which contains 67 standard channels and six HD channels. Aora also brings back channels ESPN and Star Sports in a separate package called "Sports Package".
