Arthritis Research Canada conducts consumer-driven clinical research, aimed at arthritis prevention, early diagnosis, better treatment and improved quality of life. We are a patient-oriented research organization, approaching our work from a wide range of disciplines including rheumatology, rehabilitation science, public health, epidemiology, biostatistics, health psychology and behavioural change, health economics, education and paediatrics. Arthritis Research Canada is dedicated to understanding, advancing and sharing knowledge about the causes of arthritis, and addressing issues that are impacting people with arthritis right now. We are committed to practical research for everyday living, reducing the burden of arthritis, and giving people with arthritis better, more timely, and cost-effective solutions for living with their disease. Arthro is pioneering software-as-a-medicine for osteoarthritis, re-thinking and transforming how people get diagnosed and treatment for the chronic disease. Our flagship product Joint Academy, approaches healthcare with real science (clinical evidence) primed by objective data (machine-learning) to deliver the best outcome for healthy joints. For the hardest-to-treat conditions we simply believe we have to go beyond pills and surgery. We have gathered industry experts, professors, PhDs, engineers and venture capital from relevant firms to solve this problem.

Arthrogen B.V., a subsidiary of MeiraGTx B.V., is an Amsterdam based biopharmaceutical company developing local gene therapy for different indications, using viral mediated gene transfer. Arthrogen specializes in the development of viral gene therapy vectors, in particular adeno-associated virus (AAV-) based therapeutics. Several product candidates are in the discovery and development phase. In our programs, we collaborate with world leading scientists. The company is based on the premises of the AMC/University of Amsterdam in Amsterdam.

The McDonald Institute is the Canadian hub for astroparticle physics research, uniting researchers, theorists, and technical experts within one organization.
