Today, ActivBody is “actively” growing to share data-driven fitness technology with the world. Our passionate, diverse team includes members in the United States, Bulgaria, United Kingdom, France, Germany and Malaysia. PHYSICAL THERAPY Physical therapists can now track their patients’ compliance and progress by analyzing data gathered during their therapy sessions or at-home exercises. Therapists can measure force used by the patient’s injured area, customize workouts based on the patient's’ strength level, and set goals to help them efficiently and effectively recover. Led by Professor Heather McKay and Associate Professor Joanie Sims-Gould, University of British Columbia-based Active Aging Research Team brings together scholars, community stakeholders and government to address needs, issues and opportunities of an aging society. Together they seek to positively impact the health of older adults through a focus on social connectedness and mobility through physical activity. Through co-leadership of a large number of community-based initiatives such as the Re-imagine Aging research cluster at UBC, Active Aging BC and development of an Implementation Science Hub focused on older adults they work toward achieving their goals.
