At age 11, our founder, Bryon Bills, was so inspired by his entrepreneur grandfather Courtney Afton that he told him, "When I have my own company, I’m going to name it after you." True to his word Afton Incorporated was established in 1992. The early years were primarily centered around small churches and retail shops until the megachurch trend dominated Afton's work in the mid and late nineties. As the twentieth century began, GCs began requesting Afton also include schools and municipalities. Since then, Afton has partnered in building a multitude of schools, firehouses, police academies, and many other types of dynamic projects across the great state of Texas. Following in his father's footsteps, Bryon's son Justin Bills took the reigns of operations in 2018 and secured his Master Plumbing license in 2019. Upon Bryon's passing, Bryon's wife Linda took on the responsibility of President and CFO. Like Bryon, Linda, too, had been providing hands-on leadership since Afton's inception. As a minority owner, General Contractors appreciate that Afton is a large commercial plumbing company that still operates under solid family values.

Hello and welcome to Afton Shoes, a modern way of interpreting cycling footwear. A rider in the woods seems synonymous with mountain biking, yet, it’s a juxtaposition; nature mixed with technology. Having a stark contrast between canvases begins to make things interesting. Afton plays on this by exemplifying urban styling and packing it with new technology and throwing it into a nature landscape. Imagery is important, but progression is the foundation of change.
