The American Society for Investigative Pathology (ASIP) is a society of biomedical scientists who investigate mechanisms of disease. Investigative pathology is an integrative discipline that links the presentation of disease in the whole organism to its fundamental cellular and molecular mechanisms. It uses a variety of structural, functional, and genetic techniques and ultimately applies research findings to the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. ASIP advocates for the practice of investigative pathology and fosters the professional career development and education of its members. ASIP welcomes basic and clinical biomedical research scientists as active members.

The American Society of Barcelona (ASB) functions as a non-political and non-profit organization and strives to be the focal point for people who are interested in developing and maintaining business and social relationships in an international environment. Since its founding in 1974, the American Society has grown, thrived and evolved due to the diversity of its members, who come from many countries and are engaged in a wide variety of professions. This diversity has become one of the most exciting elements of the organization as it continues to grow. The membership of the American Society of Barcelona is a wonderful mixture of nationalities; we are about half American and half European, the largest group of Europeans being Catalan. What draws most people to our organization is a desire to be involved in the English speaking community of Barcelona, both for social interaction and business networking. We sponsor a variety of gatherings throughout the year such as business luncheons, cultural outings, traditional American and local events and celebrations, informative speeches and much more. Whether for business or social occasions the American Society provides an excellent opportunity to be involved in the English speaking community of Barcelona; it’s a great meeting point and resource for all people.

The American Society of Criminology is an international organization whose members pursue scholarly, scientific, and professional knowledge concerning the measurement, etiology, consequences, prevention, control, and treatment of crime and delinquency. Our objectives are to encourage the exchange, in a multidisciplinary setting, of those engaged in research, teaching, and practice so as to foster criminological scholarship, and to serve as a forum for the dissemination of criminological knowledge. Our membership includes students, practitioners, and academicians from the many fields of criminal justice and criminology. The Society sponsors an annual meeting devoted to discussions of topics of general interest. With more than 1,250 sessions and events including development workshops, a publisher exhibit, an employment exchange, and numerous Society Division and ancillary organizational activities. The meetings attract over 4,000 attendees from some 50 countries and are a networking mecca. Society membership includes: - Receiving regular publications of *Criminology: a journal that examines all areas of crime, deviance, and justice *Criminology & Public Policy: a journal devoted to policy discussion of research findings in the field *The Criminologist: a newsletter with short articles, news of the Society, notices of professional meetings, requests for proposals, calls for papers, job announcements, and general information pertinent to the field - Access to join any of our 19 different divisions. - Access to The Career Center: a web-based listing service whereby ASC members can publicize their availability for employment and their credentials. Our Mission The mission of the American Society of International Law is to foster the study of international law and to promote the establishment and maintenance of international relations on the basis of law and justice. Our Organization ASIL is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, educational membership organization founded in 1906 and chartered by Congress in 1950. ASIL holds Category II Consultative Status to the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations and is a constituent society of the American Council of Learned Societies. The Society is headquartered at Tillar House in Washington, D.C. Our Members The Society's 4,000 members from nearly 100 nations include attorneys, academics, corporate counsel, judges, representatives of governments and nongovernmental organizations, international civil servants, students and others interested in international law. Our Programs Through our meetings, publications, information services and outreach programs, ASIL advances international law scholarship and education for international law professionals as well as for broader policy-making audiences and the public. Our History ASIL was established in 1906. While our educational mission remains as central today as it was then, our programs have adapted to dramatic changes in international law, as both an expansive topic and an evolving professional discipline. The Society celebrated its Centennial in 2006 under the theme, "A Just World Under Law."

ASMC is the non-profit educational and professional organization for persons, military and civilian, involved in the overall field of military comptrollership. ASMC was established as the Society of Military Accountants and Statisticians in 1948 in San Antonio, TX, and was open only to active duty officers. Since then, ASMC has expanded to include all DoD and Coast Guard Financial Management personnel. In 1991 the national headquarters was opened in Alexandria, VA, and currently serves a growing professional society of 18,000 members. Military comptrollership is defined as the professions of financial management in the Department of Defense and Coast Guard.
