Amicus is fully accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) and has existed in Bangor since 1971. We are private and non-profit. We support approximately 600 adults with intellectual and physical disabilities, and Autism Spectrum Disorders. Learning takes place in seven programs located at three sites in Bangor with full access to the community. Some individuals choose to participate in our five hour per day programs and others choose a different schedule. Amicus promotes independence and meaningful opportunities for the individuals we serve.
